Cape Cod Dunkel Weizen ~ Specialty Brew

Style: Dunkel-Weizen (Unfiltered Bavarian Dark Wheat Beer)
Description: A complex malty wheat beer:

A darker style wheat beer with unique a banana bread character”Similar to a Hefeweizen, these southern Germany wheat beers are brewed as darker versions (Dunkel means “dark”) with deliciously complex malts and a low balancing bitterness. The color is a cloudy (unfiltered) medium brown with the usual clove and fruity (banana) character, which comes directly from the yeast.”

Cape Cod Weizen Bock ~ Specialty Brew

Style: Unfiltered Bavarian Wheat Beer
Description: 
WeizenBock is a strong, malty, fruity, wheat-based ale combining the best flavors of a dunkelweizen and the rich strength and body of a bock. Cape Cod Beer Lead Brewer Jeff Rowe of Osterville describes this classic German style: “Weizenbock has the distinction of being one of the heavy-hitters in both the wheat beer, and bock families. Ours is unfiltered, with a strong, rounded, malty backbone that showcases the aromatic yeast, letting its fruity, banana-like quality do the talking.   At 8% this beer is no lightweight and will help keep you warm on the coldest of nights. We took our time lagering this gem to a smooth perfection; we hope people will take their time enjoying it.”  Brewed by Corey Peterson of Centerville, this beer uses the same special yeast used in Cape Cod Summer Ale, and Cape Cod Beer’s award winning Dunkelweizen.

Buster’s Brown Ale

Style: An American Brown Ale
Description: Buster’s Brown Ale is an American Brown Ale, created in celebration of the day when three elevens clash.  The fact that 11-11-11 is also Cape Cod Beer co- owner Beth Marcus’ birthday played a part in the style of the beer selected for the date rarity, as American Brown Ales are one of Beth’s favorite beer styles.  The name of the beer, Buster’s Brown Ale, comes directly from the name of the brewery’s Field Spaniel, Buster Brown

Style: Biere de garde / French Farmhouse Saison

This style is an off shoot of a Bière de Garde and is a traditional artisanal farmhouse ale from Northern France. Related to the Belgian Saison style, this beer will have a really nice pronounced maltiness from the use of German aromatic malt, balanced by a subtle continental hop bitterness and noble hop aroma.
