Cape Cod Councils on Aging provide Home Instead Senior Care the first names of 230+ lonely or financially challenged older adults in our community, with gift ideas for each senior. The above-named merchants and senior living communities set up a Christmas tree and poster in their lobby from November 14th to December 9th. The senior’s first name and gift idea is printed on an ornament and hung on the Christmas tree. Residents or customers pull an ornament from the tree, purchase a gift from the ideas listed and return both to the tree in a holiday gift bag.
Home Instead Senior Care collects the gifts until December 9, 2016 (the last collection day). Gifts are distributed to senior centers in time for a Council on Aging friendly visitor to deliver their gifts by Christmas.
