Buster’s Brown Ale
Buster’s Brown Ale
It is an unfiltered American Brown Ale with a touch of rye to enhance the nutty character of the beer. This beer is made with blend of 6 different malts, including pale, light crystal, chocolate, wheat, caramalt and rye. The hops used were all domestically grown and include Chinook for a nice upfront hop bite, and Cascade for a mild citrusy aroma. “We chose to allow the malts to dominate the flavor profile of this beer so that people could appreciate the subtle characteristics of the rye amongst the other malts selected” explains Brewer Brian Flagg. “We decided to present this beer unfiltered to maximize those delicious flavors and aromas. It’s fun to make a new beer, and the off season allows us time to test out new techniques, ideas and recipes.” The beer’s specs for those who are interested include: 5.2% ABV, OG 13.2 degrees plato ( 1.053 SG), and 42 IBUs.
For anyone who is curious, Buster Brown is a 8 year old Field Spaniel, who is not only the brewery dog but a member of the Marcus family “pack”.
Will it be available only at the brewery retail store? Also, I live in Central Mass, does anyone out this way carry Cape Cod beer? Thank you!
We only distribute from Plymouth to Provincetown….and yes Buster’s Brown Ale will only be available at the brewery. Maybe next year? Depends on how much people like it!
