In Japanese mythology the Tide Jewels, ebb (kanju) & flow (manju), were magical gems that the Dragon God used to control the tide. The legend of Princess Tamatori is a tragic love story wherein the pearl diving princess lulls the Dragon God to sleep with music & reclaims her family treasure. Pursued by angry sea creatures she escapes with the jewels but loses her life in the process & is forever revered for her selfless act of sacrifice. Tide Jewels Saison is a single-hopped farmhouse ale that features Sorachi Ace, a hop originally developed in Japan, and aged in a South Hollow Spirits (Truro) Dry Line Gin Barrel with pink peppercorns. An earthy, peppery bite mingles with the citrus & gin flavors & aromas, making this beer a treasure worth seeking. Kampai!
