Our stance to date has been that we want to do everything that we can to help protect the health and safety of our staff and our customers. While our staff is 100% vaccinated, and working on being 100% boostered, we continue to be vigilant about their safety and the safety of our customers. We are also dedicated to following the mandates put upon us by local, state and federal authorities, as we work in a heavily regulated industry and take the rules provided for us seriously.
As COVID changes so have the regulations and people comfort levels. We, as a team felt strongly that we wanted to listen to our staff and our customers to continue to provide a place where people could feel safe. In the Fall of 2021 we sent out a Survey to our customer base via social media and our email newsletter list, asking customers to tell us how they feel and what they are looking for in terms of protocols in regards to COVID19.
So we asked you, and many of your answered.
The two charts below above that 64% of valid respondents wanted us to require vaccine cards (or a negative test) for larger/ticketed events, and of those who responded 92% said that they would comply and attend if we implemented such a rule. So we did.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY LARGER/TICKETED LIVE MUSIC EVENTS WILL REQUIRE PROOF OF VACCINE OR A NEGATIVE COVID TEST.
This includes LOCAL’s CHRISTMAS on DECEMBER 17th (which is not ticketed, as it is a free event but will likely bring a larger crowd.)
This is only during “bands” and larger events and DOES NOT INCLUDE FREE LIVE MUSIC (where we have a single/duo singer/songwriter during the afternoons), or any time you want to visit the brewery during the day.
If you have questions or concerns regarding this policy/protocol, please email Beth Marcus via our contact us form, but we do ask that before you send us any angry emails about peoples rights etc, please note that this follows closely if not exactly to just about every public music venue in the the region – if not the country. As live music lovers we have attended several live music events locally, regionally and even nationally, in the last several months, and at each of these venues we have been required to show a valid vaccine card or negative test.
