In Latin ‘Nox Dulcis’ means ‘Sweet Night’ – an appropriate name for this delicious Imperial Stout. Bold and complex, the base of this beer is layers of roasty mild bitterness with the sweet flavors of black cherries and plums. We’ve added ethically soured cacao nibs from Chequessett Chocolate and whole bean of Monsooned Malabar** from Cape Cod Coffee to create a dark, intense and warming palate pleaser. Rich aromas of dark fruit enhance this beer’s velvety, full-bodied texture.

**What is Monsooned Malabar Coffee?

The name Monsooned Malabar is derived from exposure to the monsoon winds of the Malabar coast. The harvested coffee seeds are exposed to the monsoon rain and winds for a period of about three to four months, causing the beans to swell and lose the original acidity, resulting in a flavor profile with a practically neutral pH balance. The coffee is unique to the Malabar Coast of Karnataka and Kerala and has protected status under India’s Geographical Indications of Goods Act. The blend is heavy bodied, pungent, and considered to be dry with a musty, chocolatey aroma and notes of spice and nuts.
