Short Description: Complex and malty.
Overall Impression: A very flavorful Belgian-style ale with a complex, rich, but harmonious profile. Deceptively strong.
Aroma: Complex blend of bready malts, dark fruit esters (e.g., dried cherry, fig, raisin), restrained spiciness, low levels of herbal hops, and alcohol.
Flavor: Similar to aroma, with sweet malty richness, dark fruit and molasses giving way to medium-low hop bitterness and spicy notes. The high alcohol balances the sweetness but is smooth and warming on the finish.
Body: Medium-bodied with smooth alcohol warmth.
Suggested Food Pairings: Sweet, fruity desserts, Braised meats, Trappist Cheeses
