Beer Release: Christmas in July and Visit from Santa!

It’s that time of year again! Our annual Christmas in July Beer Release.. and a visit from Santa with Photos in the brewery or beer garden depending on the weather! Beer releases in the morning.. and Santa visits from 4-6pm. Bring your own camera.. and yes this is free. Thank you to our friends at Cape Cod Beach Chair for letting us use their awesome picture!
Christmas in July is a throw back to sleepover camp days when counselors would help you celebrate Christmas in July with your camp friends whom you never saw in the winter months. So 10 or so years ago when we could never imagine doing a special release but our summer only customers were begging for a special release, we convinced the brewmaster to give us one special release in the summer.. and we called it Christmas in July.
So every year on 7.25 ( because it has yet to fall on a Sunday) we release a special beer.. which is almost always OLD MAN WINTER, our English style strong ale that has been aged in some sort of wood spirits barrel)
This years’ version was aged in Triple Eight Notch Whisky Barrels from Nantucket.
