March Pilot Beer Release: Belgian Cellar Dweller Dark Strong Ale

Join us for our monthly release of something experimental from our pilot system.
This month CCB brewer Andrew Barker, Ph.D. has designed and brewed us up a 1 barrel batch of Belgian Dark Strong Ale.
Described by the brewer as A very flavorful Belgian-style ale with a complex, rich, but harmonious profile. Deceptively strong. This beer’s aroma is a complex blend of bready malts, dark fruit esters (e.g., dried cherry, fig, raisin), restrained spiciness, low levels of herbal hops, and alcohol. Its flavor is similar to the aroma, with a sweet malty richness, dark fruit, and molasses giving way to medium-low hop bitterness and spicy notes. It has a medium body where the high alcohol balances the overall sweetness and is smooth and warming on the finish.
This beer will be tapped on Friday March 8th – along with our Friday Night Live Music series with The Pourmen.
