Based loosely on the regional sour beer styles of Northern Germany which date back over 500 years, this experimental sour from Cape Cod Beer was made simply with 2 varieties of malt, pilsner and wheat, and one addition of a German hop variety, magnum. Served unfiltered it has a mild but refreshing sour taste from the production of lactic acid during fermentation. Weighing in at about 5% ABV this beer will certainly be one to enjoy as we approach the warmer days of spring and summer on.
